(944.1) THESSALY, Koinon of Thessaly. Nero. AD 54-68. Æ Diassarion (23mm, 7.99 g, 12h). Laouchos, strategos. NEPΩN KAI-ΣAP ΘEΣΣA[ΛΩN], laureate head right / ΛAOVXO-V ΣT-PATHΓO-[V], Nike standing left on globe, holding wreath in extended right hand, cradling palm frond in left arm. Burrer Em. 2, Series 5, Grp. 1, 88.3 (A31a/R62 – this coin); RPC 1445. Fine, green patina; rare.

NEPΩN KAI-ΣAP ΘEΣΣAΛ[ΩN], laureate head right / ΛA-OVXOV [C]-TPATHΓO-V, Nike standing right on globe, holding wreath in extended right hand, cradling palm frond in left arm. Burrer Em. 2, Series 5, Grp. 2, 97.1 (A35/R68 – this coin, illustrated on pl. 13); RPC 1446. Fine, green patina, some roughness; very rare.
